We have come up with the 30 Day Plastic-Free Challenge to help reduce plastic in our lives considerably.
The challenge consists of a series of 30 resolutions that target one daily use plastic item that ranks high in toxicity as well and replacing it with a plastic-free alternative . As part of the challenge it’s not just you who takes the resolutions but you also get to nominate 5 others to take up the challenge so that the plastic-free wave spreads!

SAY NO TO PLASTIC BAGS
Carry your own cloth or jute bag, and say no to plastic carry bags from today. If a grocery or vegetable vendor offers a plastic bag, ask them to take it back and fill your cloth back instead. This simple resolution can have a huge impact on so many issues - your health, your family's health, environmental pollution, flooding, economy etc.
SAY NO TO PLASTIC
Plastic bottles have known to leach BPA and pthalates(chemicals proven to mimic our hormones) in the water stored in them. What's the healthier choice? Water stored in a metal container ofcourse! This is the healthiest resolution you can take. Time to gift yourself and your family that metal bottle!
SWITCH TO BAMBOO TOOTHBRUSH
Concerned about where your toothbrush ends up? Worry no more! Bamboo Toothbrushes and natural wood brushes come to your rescue or you can switch to the good old Daatun(neem wood stick)!

SAY NO TO PLASTIC STRAWS
Straws are one of the most used plastic disposables and the ones that can be easily avoided. Easiest way is to avoid the usage of straw and sip smart or use a steel straw.
Clingwrap has very high content of toxic chemicals. Doctors in several developed countries are now advising people to #QuitClingWrap. If you or your family members are suffering from thyroid, depression, cancers or any hormonal issues, its best to avoid food that has come in contact with cling wrap. Alternative include food wrapping paper, plain cloth or cloth coated with beeswax.
This resolution is to all the men out there! Shaving is a must (unless you grow a beard) but using single-use razors is not . So this Resolution is all about making sustainable and environment friendly razor choices! Here are your options, ordered by the DNT scores..
